Destiny will be taken offline for maintenance later this week, it has been announced.
Bungie’s shooter will be taken down for approximately four hours from 4pm (UK time) on Thursday, November 13 “if all goes according to plan”.
“This totally planned service outage will enable us to prepare for the arrival of a series of updates planned for the next few weeks,” Bungie explained.
“During this time, you’ll be unable to play Destiny. We’re sorry about the interruption, but it’s for the greater good.”
Game progress will be unaffected by the update, Bungie confirmed.
“The updates we’re making will be on our side, so you won’t need to download or install a new batch of content,” the developer added.
Adding new quests, strikes, raids and other items, the game’s ‘Dark Below’ DLC will release on December 9.
